Driving Directions From Houston:
Go North on I-45 to exit 123, the exit for
FM 1696 which is 4 miles North of Huntsville.
Turn left and go West (under the overpass) 2 miles on FM 1696 to HWY 75.
Turn right (North) on HWY 75 and go 5 miles *.
Turn left on Bishop Rd and go one mile and you will see General Sam's entrance.
The Red Gate will be open.
* landmark--( from Houston ) At the top of
the hill right before you get to Bishop Road, there will be a huge stone the size of a jeep on the right hand side
of HWY 75. Bishop Road is 1/4 mile on the left from that point.
Driving Directions From Dallas:
Take I-45 south out of Dallas and go ___ miles
to exit ____ which is FM 2989 located just South of Madisonville.
Turn right onto FM 2989 then turn left on HWY 75 and go south 6 miles to Bishop Road.
Turn right on Bishop Rd and go one mile and you will see General Sam's entrance.
The Red Gate will be open.
